Newborn care

Our providers offer comprehensive newborn care including well-baby checkups, immunizations and care for any illnesses you might encounter. At your baby’s routine checkups, we monitor growth and development, and address any concerns quickly.

Typical well-baby checkups occur at:

• 5-7 days
• 2 weeks
• 1 month
• 2 months
• 4 months
• 6 months
• 9 months
• 12 months
• 15 months

Starting at 24 months (2 years), your child will have a well-patient checkup annually until age 21.

Care for older children

It is important for children of every age to see a provider regularly. Well-child visits typically include a comprehensive physical exam, growth and development checks, immunizations and time to address any caregiver or patient concerns.

Well-child checkups for older children are typically once a year, and can be combined with school, sports or camp physicals when needed. Please click here to learn more about these specialized exams.

Vaccine Policy:

We believe that vaccines are an important part of both public health and the health of our patients. Thus, Dr. Benson requires her patients to be vaccinated according to the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Centers for Disease Control guidelines. We typically defer or do not give vaccines to children only when a medical condition deems appropriate. For information about these vaccines and the diseases they protect against, please visit http://www.aap.org/healthtopics/immunizations.cfm.

For detailed informational sheets published by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) please visit www.cdc.gov/vaccines/pubs/vis/.
